Direct Checkout updates like any WordPress plugin; your settings and analytics are kept.
- Free: Dashboard → Updates or the Plugins screen shows new versions. Click Update now, or turn on auto-updates.
- Pro PRO: updates come from plugincy.com while your license is active and show on the same screens.
When the Pro license expires
Pro updates stop and the Pro features (AI insights, full reports and the other Pro parts) turn off. The free features, such as direct checkout, Buy Now, the Quick Order popup and the sticky bar, keep working with your settings. Renew on plugincy.com and activate the key again on the Pro License tab to turn Pro back on and get updates.
Before a big update
Take a backup of your site first, then update WooCommerce and Direct Checkout. After updating, open the dashboard and check that every module you use is still switched on.
Events are stored in the plugin’s own table and settings in their own option, so they survive every update.
