Give each prompt a type and, when location matters, a country. Types let you filter results by the kind of question; countries show what AI tells buyers in each market you sell to.

Prompt types
| Type | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery | Questions without your brand name. The most important type: it shows whether AI recommends you to people who do not know you yet. | Which accounting software is best for a small business? |
| Comparison | You against a competitor. | Tallyleaf vs Ledgerly — which is better? |
| Branded | Questions about your brand. | Is Tallyleaf safe to use? |
Country
AI services that search the web use the country to give answers for that country, the way a buyer there would see them. Choose Global (no country) if location does not matter.
- ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity use the country for their web search.
- Gemini has no location option, so it answers the same everywhere.
To track one question in several markets, add it once for each country. Each copy costs its own API calls.
